Pavement improvements are on the way for one of the most heavily trafficked trails in Sheboygan County.
The County Planning and Conservation Department has shared that crews are in the process of resurfacing a stretch of The Old Plank Road Trail that begins at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 57 in Plymouth.
Improvements will go down the trail heading west towards the Town of Greenbush.
While the trail will not be closed during the project, the Planning and Conservation Department is warning trail users that loose gravel will be present until the final pavement resurfacing is complete, making for rough riding, walking, or running for a number of weeks.
No exact date has been given for when the trail will be fully resurfaced; however, the department assures that the temporary inconvenience will pave the way for a better trail experience in the future.
