The Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary continues to put money back into the community.
The rotary explains that over the last year, they’ve donated $15,000 to local charitable groups, bringing the total amount of their contributions to the Manitowoc community to over $335,000 over 35 years.
Local members worked on various projects, and money earned was given to several organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club, Kan Cool for School, Lakeshore Foster Families and Friends, and over $2,000 in gifts to Hope House.
Some of the gifts included laundry detergent, diapers, paper towels, and toilet paper for those the group is trying to help.
Rotary President Peggy Kadow says the group is “committed to providing support for children’s education, safety, and for community needs/improvements. That’s what we work for and where our profits go.”
