Opening night for the inaugural Sheboygan Film Festival (SFF) has arrived.
The highly anticipated film festival opens today (October 2nd) and will run through Sunday (October 5th) at various locations across Sheboygan.
Opening night will feature just one film screening, the debut of John Candy: I Like Me, at the Weill Center on North 8th Street.
The film is directed by Colin Hanks, son of Tom Hanks, who shared the screen with Candy, and was produced by a fellow Canadian, Ryan Reynolds.
Over the four days of the festival, attendees will be able to view countless films aimed at people of all ages, learn from filmmakers, and participate in various workshops.
Additional festivities include a specialty beer from 3 Sheeps Brewing, the Friday Night Party hosted by Paradigm Coffee and Music, a Saturday night party at Jake’s, A Lakeland Community, and much more.
The event will come to an end on Sunday with a screening of Dead Man Walking, a film written by Academy Award winner Tim Robbins.
