
A crash in Outagamie County has taken the life of one person and injured another.
WBAY reports that the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was called to a report of a two-car crash near County Road A and Quarry Road in the Town of Center just before 6:00 a.m. yesterday (October 1st).
The initial investigation indicates that a northbound SUV crossed the center line of County Road A and collided with a southbound car.
The 19-year-old female SUV driver and only occupant from Hortonville was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
A 47-year-old woman from Nichols, who was the driver and sole occupant of a southbound vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor. Grand Chute Police, Wisconsin State Patrol, and assisted Outagamie County Sheriff’s Deputies, as well as Town of Center First Responders, Town of Center Fire Department, and Gold Cross Ambulance.
