The Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum has appointed its next executive director.
Beth Kowalski is now serving as the person in charge of the museum after she resigned as head of the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay.
Board President Tracy Honn says the search for leaders at the wood type museum was grounded in the values of being a museum that is welcoming, community-minded, open, responsive, passionate, and steadfast.
Honn continues saying that Kowalski stood out for her, “experience leading dynamic teams, stewarding nationally recognized collections and exhibitions, and securing significant funding for cultural institutions.”
In the new role, Kowalski will provide strategic leadership and oversight of Hamilton, while also focusing on fundraising and financial management.
In a letter to the board, Kowalski says she is very much looking forward to meeting everyone who loves and supports the museum and is proud to lead Hamilton ahead on this journey.
Kowalski is taking over for Peter Crabbe, who retired from his job as executive director at the end of July.
