It’s been a big year of growth for the Two Rivers High School Youth Apprenticeship Program.
CESA 6 reports that more than 60 students are participating during the 2025-26 school year, marking a significant increase from last year’s 46 students.
The district says it showcases strong momentum and student interest in career-based learning.
Preparation for students in the program begins as early as sophomore year, when Two Rivers High School emphasizes essential career-readiness skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, and company research.
This year, students are participating the most in roles related to healthcare, manufacturing, and education, including welding, machining, and early childhood education.
CESA 6 concludes by stating that the success of the program heavily relies on local businesses, which not only provide job placement but also serve as mentors, shaping the next generation of skilled workers.
Students will work through the summer after graduation and will complete the program at the end of August.
