
One person is in custody for the fatal shooting in Sheboygan Falls last week.
The Sheboygan Falls Police Department has announced that 35-year-old Luis Cruz Burgos was arrested this weekend after a search warrant was conducted in the 2300 block of Kroos Court in Sheboygan.
Court documents show that the 35-year-old has been charged with First-Degree Reckless Homicide for the fatal shooting that took the life of 32-year-old Giovanni Michael Robinson in the 600 block of Monroe Street in Sheboygan Falls.
Robinson, a Canadian tourist, was visiting the area for a golf trip.
At this time, Cruz Burgos is being held at the Sheboygan County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
Sheboygan Falls Chief of Police Aaron Wigen has stated that additional details regarding the fatal shooting will be released as the investigation moves forward, while a press conference on the matter will be held sometime this week.
Other agencies assisting in the search warrant and subsequent arrest included the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Sheboygan Police Department, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sheboygan Fire Department.
