The Manitowoc man charged in a shooting-related homicide will return to court today (September 29th).
20-year-old Kirk Dunn is scheduled to be back in Manitowoc County Court Branch 4 this afternoon for his initial appearance.
Dunn is accused of shooting and killing the now-named victim, 25-year-old Jaisiah Owens, in an apartment area on Dewey Street last week.
Owens was taken away from the scene by a private vehicle that was later found by police.
Law enforcement attempted life-saving measures, but the 25-year-old victim died.
Dunn is charged with 1st-degree intentional homicide and 2nd-degree reckless endangerment.
In a criminal complaint, the 20-year-old claimed self-defense.
Last week, Dunn was given a $500,000 cash bail during his bail hearing. He could face a life sentence if convicted.
