Childcare shortages continue to impact families and the workforce across Wisconsin, and Progress Lakeshore is taking action.
The local organization has announced a new educational opportunity called the “So You Want to Start a Childcare Business” Bootcamp.
The program will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 7th, and aims to give aspiring entrepreneurs the knowledge and tools they need to consider entering the childcare industry.
Participants will learn about licensing & certification requirements and benefits, start-up costs & financial considerations, and will get a general overview of what it takes to open a childcare business.
Jamie Zastrow, Progress Lakeshore’s Executive Director, also noted, “This bootcamp is designed to lower the barriers for anyone who has ever considered starting a childcare business by providing the practical information they need to make informed decisions.”
Registration is required in advance, at a cost of $10 per person.
