The Manitowoc Lincoln girls tennis team hosted Pulaski yesterday, and the top doubles tandem got back on the winning track.
Taylor Peterson and Jordin Popp knocked off Linde Lemerond and Aubrie Schuessler 6-3, 6-0 as one of only two wins for the Ships, who fell as a team 5-2.
The other Lincoln winner was Aurora Jones in what turned into a highly competitive matchup.
Pulaski’s Emory Groteluschen took the first set 6-4, but Jones would bounce back to take set two 6-3.
The tiebreaking third set was a barn burner, with Jones eventually taking it 10-7.
The Ships will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Oshkosh West for an invitational, which will also feature Kimberly, West De Pere, De Pere, and Green Bay Preble.
