Wisconsin’s 3rd District Representative is highlighting two bills in the Wisconsin Assembly and another he wants to see passed in the future.
Assembly Bill 39 would require all state employees to work in the office for at least 80% of regularly scheduled work hours per month. State workers were sent home during the COVID-19 pandemic to work remotely.
Rep. Tusler says the bill brings accountability and productivity back to the state government by bringing workers back to the state.
Another bill is Assembly Bill 308, which would, according to Rep. Tusler, prevent anyone illegally in Wisconsin from receiving taxpayer-funded healthcare.
The Harrison Republican says, “Wisconsin must never reward illegal immigrants and certainly shouldn’t have to pay for them.”
Both bills have since been sent to Senate Committees to be discussed.
The bill he’d like to see passed in the future is Assembly Bill 161, which would stop the state from banning motor vehicles by source of energy.
This is a counter to bills passed in California that would ban the sale of gas-powered lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws.
That bill has been tabled in the Assembly.
