An accomplice in a 2024 Fond du Lac homicide has been convicted.
Court records show that 23-year-old Dawson Miller was found guilty due to a no-contest plea yesterday (September 23rd) for felony murder in the death of Ashley Calo.
Miller will return to court on December 15th after Annaka Trudell, the woman convicted of stabbing Calo, is sentenced on October 1st.
A criminal complaint says that Calo was stabbed in the back of her car multiple times by Trudell during a drug deal in which she and Miller were trying to steal pills the victim was selling.
Calo’s three-year-old child was also in the vehicle at the time but was left unharmed.
After the stabbing, Miller helped Trudell avoid detection.
The complaint also says Miller told police that he didn’t think Trudell was going to rob the victim, but didn’t think Trudell was going to kill Calo.
Other charges Miller faced, including harboring or aiding a felon and manufacturing and delivering a Schedule I or II Narcotic, were dismissed but read into the record.
