
The Manitowoc Lincoln girls’ tennis team is back on the winning track after a trip to Ashwaubenon yesterday.
The Ships won five of their seven flights, including two of four singles flights.
Maddie Black had a barn burner against Corinne Coble in #4 singles, with the Ships’ netter dropping the first set 4-6.
She bounced back in set two with a 6-3 win, and the final set 10-4.
Aurora Jones won her #3 singles matchup 6-3, 6-3, while Taylor Peterson and Jordin Popp continued their reign of dominance in #1 doubles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
The tandems of Candence Fischer and Julia Jagemann, and Breleigh Kowalski and Elighana Camacho also picked up wins, with the latter also requiring a third-set tiebreaker.
The Ships will be back in action next Tuesday (September 23rd) when they host De Pere at Lincoln Park.
