State Representative Francesca Hong is officially running for governor.
The Madison native, who was first elected in 2020, currently serves in the State Assembly while also working as a bartender and line cook.
Hong joins a crowded Democratic field that already includes Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, State Senator Kelda Roys, and American Family Field vendor Ryan Strnad.
On the Republican side, Washington County Executive Josh Shoemann and businessman Bill Berrien are in the race.
The primary election is set for next August.
