The Manitowoc County Democratic Party will be hosting a community rally with a Milwaukee organization.
The rally at Washington Park with Voces de La Frontera, which translates to “Voices from the Border,” will take place on Saturday (September 20th) at 1:00 p.m.
Voces de La Frontera explains that the group’s mission is to protect and expand civil rights and workers’ rights through leadership development, community organizing, and empowerment.
Their rally with the Manitowoc County Democrats will include a speaker addressing issues on common myths about immigrants, why Wisconsin needs Driver’s Cards, and local sheriff contracts with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Rallies are also being held in Oshkosh, Green Bay, and Oconto throughout the day.
The Republican Party of Manitowoc County is also holding a rally this week.
