Construction has officially started on a new concourse at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
The $95 million Concourse E Redevelopment Project broke ground Tuesday.
It’s said that it will replace the outdated international arrivals terminal, boosting capacity for both domestic and international flights.
The project is backed by airport revenues, federal funds, and bonds, and is expected to generate hundreds of construction jobs in the Milwaukee area.
Completion is slated for 2027.
