The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Pao Lee died by suicide on Sunday (September 14th) in his cell at the Sheboygan County Jail.
His body was later discovered by correctional officers making their rounds throughout the jail.
It was also confirmed that the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Lee’s death.
At the 65-year-old’s scheduling conference, which took place this morning, all charges in the case were dismissed on the State’s motion.

An official in the Sheboygan County Court System has confirmed that the man charged after shooting two people, including a 2-year-old, has died.
65-year-old Pao Lee, who was scheduled for a status conference later today (September 15th), has passed away; however, a cause of death has not been provided.
At the time of his death, Lee was being held in the Sheboygan County Jail after Judge Natasha Torry set his bail at $2 million cash at his initial appearance last week.
The 65-year-old had been facing charges of Attempted First-Degree Intentional Homicide and First-Degree Reckless Injury after the September 5th shooting that hospitalized two people, including a young child who suffered a gunshot wound to the upper chest area.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding Lee’s death remain unknown.
