
One person has died after a car accident in Winnebago County.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was called to the intersection of County Road Z and Country Club Road for a two-vehicle crash in the Township of Black Wolf yesterday (September 14th) just before 10:40 a.m.
Arriving deputies located numerous individuals who had sustained injuries during the accident, and one of the drivers involved was pronounced dead at the scene.
An occupant of their vehicle who also sustained significant injuries was transported to a local hospital, while the other driver only received minor injuries.
The fatal accident caused the intersection to be closed off while authorities conducted a crash scene investigation.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation and the identities of those involved are being withheld.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in its response by the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Oshkosh Fire Department, the Van Dyne Fire Department, the ThedaStar Medical Helicopter, the Winnebago County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Winnebago County Highway Department, and Expert Automotive Services.
