Two talented artists from central and northern Wisconsin were winners of the annual Wisconsin DNR stamp contest.
Sam Timm of Wautoma took home first place in this year’s 2026 Wisconsin wild turkey, pheasant, and waterfowl and stamp design contest for the wild turkey and waterfowl design contest.
Caleb Metrich of Tomahawk was the first-place winner for the pheasant design contest.
The winning entries will be featured on the next editions of the wild turkey, pheasant, and waterfowl stamps that are required to be purchased for game birds.
Sales of the stamps bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for species management throughout the state, including habitat management, restoration, education, and research purposes.
The contest took place back in August at the Wisconsin Waterfowl Expo in Oshkosh.
