More than 50 Milwaukee homes severely damaged in last month’s floods may be torn down, city officials say.
The Department of Neighborhood Services has deemed 54 houses uninhabitable, with five already receiving emergency demolition orders.
One affected homeowner told 12 News they were given 20 days to demolish their property before the city would step in.
The raze orders are issued when properties are beyond repair and pose safety concerns.
