
A child has died after a drowning incident in Calumet County.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the North Shore Apartments on Sonny Drive in the Village of Harrison last Saturday (September 6th) just after 4:20 p.m. on a report of a missing seven-year-old autistic child.
The child was missing from a residence about three or four minutes before being reported missing.
The seven-year-old was later found unresponsive in a pond on the property, and a Calumet County deputy went into the water to rescue the person.
After Harrison First Responders and Gold Cross ambulance arrived on scene to provide life-saving measures, the child was taken to Theada Care Neenah.
However, the seven-year-old would succumb to their injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says no foul play is suspected in the child’s death and no criminal charges will be filed.
