An annual fundraiser for those dealing with food insecurity in Sheboygan County will be returning later this year.
The Sheboygan County Food Bank and the Sheboygan County Rotary have shared that registration for the 8th annual Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk is now open.
The event will be held on November 22nd at Evergreen Park and is set to feature a 5K run and a one-mile walk.
It will also serve as a special sneak peek at the Making Spirits Bright holiday lights for those in attendance.
Registration for the run/walk will cost $25 for those in the 5K, $20 for one-mile walk participants, and free for children 12 years or younger.
As is customary, all proceeds raised through this fundraiser will benefit the Sheboygan County Food Bank and its mission to feed families in need throughout the community.
Since the inception of this event, nearly half a million dollars have been raised, ensuring Sheboygan neighbors do not have to worry about where their next meal may come from.
Earlier this year, the Black Spring Foundation offered a $100,000 match for donations to the Food Bank, and along with funds raised at this event, 2025 is looking to be one of the strongest fundraising efforts on record.
Those looking to register or volunteer at the 8th annual Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk can do so by visiting the Sheboygan County Food Bank Facebook page.
