Intention Boutique is adding a new location.
The Manitowoc-based clothing store specifically for women hosted a soft open of their new location in Algoma over the weekend, which owner Annette Schisel said went very well.
She wanted to expand the business for a while, and when the opportunity presented itself to take over the former Hello Dolly store at 420 2nd Street, Schisel jumped on it.
“I had one week, which is absolutely insane, I know, from the closing of Hello Dolly, which was in business there for 30 years, one week to get in there, get it ready for us to open,” she explained.
On top of the wonderful citizens of Algoma, the new location is also looking to take advantage of another key aspect of the city.
“(There are) lots of tourists,” she noted. “A lot of people that are passing through on their way to Door County.”
Schisel also noted that Intention Boutique is more than just another clothing store.
“We cater to women of all shapes and sizes,” she explained. “We carry things from extra small through ladies 3X, and our goal is to enhance a woman’s beauty that they already has. When you put on an outfit and you can feel good in it and you know you look good in it, that confidence exudes.”
The official opening of the Algoma branch of Intention Boutique will begin at 11:00 this morning, and they will remain open through 3:00 p.m.
It will be “business as usual” along with other exciting things happening.
Additionally, Schisel will be celebrating 5 years at her Manitowoc location on Monday.
