Betty L. Strathmann, 89, Manitowoc passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Harbor View Assisted Living.
Betty was born on February 15, 1936, daughter of Adolph and Sarah (Bashaw) Brull. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. On January 5, 1957, she married John Strathmann at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2019. She was a member of St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church. In her career, she had various jobs, including Evan’s Department Store for 11 years.
Betty is survived by five children: Debbie (Jeff) Hess, Janesville, Linda (Frank) Kautzer, Manitowoc, Mike (Laurie) Strathmann, AZ, Pam (Greg) Jameson, Holmen, WI, and Pat (Mary) Strathmann, MN; 13 grandchildren: Corey Cayemberg, Kyle Cayemberg, Katie Peters, Allie Kautzer, Shawn (Britney) Strathmann, Kimm Lepien, Pamela (Andy) Brunet, Jonathan Lepien, Amanda (Trevor) Langkau, Matt (Heather) Jameson, Megan (Adam) Milbauer, Nick Nelson, and Noah Nelson; four great-grandchildren; one sister: Janet LeClair, Two Rivers; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Jim (Sue) Brull, Green Bay, and Sue Brull, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives also survive. Betty was preceded in death by her parents: Adolph and Sarah Brull; husband: John Strathmann; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles and Jeanette Strathmann; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Bob Brull, and Ken (Lois) Brull; brother-in-law: Victor LeClair.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, Rev. Dave Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers.
