Today’s (September 9th) meeting of the Manitowoc Public School Board will start early.
The meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m. this evening, instead of the normal time of 6:00 p.m.
The agenda includes the board convening into closed session to confer with their legal counsel about legal action.
A former employee filed a complaint against the district, and the board will discuss it in closed session.
The board will then come out of closed session to hear public input and approve their consent agenda before hearing from their student representative and from Superintendent Lee Thennes.
The board will then discuss and possibly approve a position for a designated early college credit program coordinator and give an update on the district’s 100-day plan.
They will also approve some handbook updates and hear from the board president before adjourning for the evening.
