Road construction projects in Sheboygan County are nearing completion.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has stated that while road work in the county is still causing closures, Highways 28 and 32 will be completed before the end of October.
In the Village of Cascade, the Highway 28 bridge replacement project is progressing smoothly with beamguard grading continuing this week.
Crews will also be doing paving work on 28 from Cascade towards Waldo.
Drivers are asked to use County Road A and Highway 57 during the closure, which is expected to be completed before the end of September.
As for Highway 32, the complete closure between Cedar Grove and Sheboygan Falls remains in place as work is done on the final culvert of the extensive culvert replacement project along the roadway.
This week, crews will place steel reinforcing structures and pour the floor of the box culvert just south of County Road N.
At this time, 32 is being detoured onto Interstate 43 and Highway 28, which is expected to continue until the project is completed by October 31st.
