A registered sex offender will be living in Manitowoc County after serving his sentence.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is releasing information about 51-year-old Michael Koenig, who will be living in the Village of Maribel on County Road R.
The sheriff’s office explains that Koenig has served his sentence and is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.
The notification is not intended to increase fear but rather to keep the public better informed and safer.
Citizens’ abuse of information to threaten, intimidate, or harass Koenig will not be tolerated.
He was convicted of 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child in 1995, two counts of 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child in 2017, and sex with a child age 16 or older in 1994.
Koenig is a lifetime registrant of the Sex Offender Registration Program and must follow rules established by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
