Area entrepreneurs are looking to turn a dream into reality later on this evening.
Accelerate Sheboygan County and the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation have joined forces to host a regional Startup World Cup tonight (September 8th) at the Weill Center, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
During the competition, local startups will pitch their business idea to a panel of judges, much as thousands of others will be across the globe as part of over 100 regional competitions held worldwide.
The winner of this regional pitch contest will receive $2,000 and be entered to compete in the Startup World Cup 2025 Grand Finale, which will be held in San Francisco with a $1 million grand prize on the line.
Applications to participate have already closed; however, the event will be free to attend.
Those in the audience will play a role in the night’s festivities as they will get to choose the People’s Choice Winner, who will also receive $1,000.
