A Brillion police officer is out of the hospital after an accident during a police pursuit.
The officer was trying to stop a vehicle on Wednesday (September 2nd) at 10:50 p.m. in the city.
The driver failed to pull over, despite the officer having their lights and siren on.
The officer started a police pursuit, during which the officer’s squad car was involved in a crash on South Glenview Avenue.
The unnamed officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local medical facility, where they were later released.
Due to availability, the Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the investigation into the crash because the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office was not able to do it.
The squad car is considered a total loss and the city is working with their insurance provider to replace it.
