The former Sheboygan Falls Assistant Fire Chief will be going to prison for sexually assaulting a child.
Court records show that 45-year-old John P. Albright was in Sheboygan County court on Thursday (September 4th) after being convicted of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
At his sentencing hearing, Judge Rebecca Persick ordered Albright to spend 13 years behind bars, followed by 10 years on extended supervision.
As part of his sentencing, he will also be registered as a sex offender for life.
This verdict brings an end to a case that has spanned approximately 12 months after first being reported by the Sheboygan Falls Police Department in September of last year.
In that initial media release from the police department, they stated that the 45-year-old was arrested and under investigation for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16.
Upon his release from prison, the former Assistant Fire Chief has been ordered to maintain absolute sobriety, to have no contact with victims, their families, or their residences, and to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18, excluding his own son, who is a minor.
