Attendees of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center will have the opportunity to contribute to an art exhibit.
Today (September 3rd) from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Arts Center is inviting those interested to paint their very own polka dot on the walls of the main gallery ahead of the opening of the Heidelbergology: Is It Art Now? Exhibition.
The exhibit will be in the main gallery and feature the work of Tyree Guyton, a Detroit-based artist known for his trademark multicolored polka dots.
This art-making opportunity is free of charge and open to people of all ages.
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center will provide both brushes and paint.
Those looking to add their mark to the main gallery landscape are encouraged to sign up by visiting jmkac.org.
After the community painting event, Guton’s exhibition will open in the main gallery on September 13th.
