Yesterday marked the first day of school for students in the Sheboygan Area School District, but it was also the first day in a new role for three faculty members.
The district has shared that Cleveland Elementary School, Urban Middle School, and Sheboygan North High School are all under the leadership of new principals.
Ted DiStefano, Cleveland Elementary Principal, assumes this new role after 13 years with Urban and a total of 30 years in the field of education.
Urban’s new principal, Joe O’Brien, has been with the SASD serving in previous roles of counselor, dean of students, and associate principal at Sheboygan North.
Nic Collins was named as Sheboygan North’s new principal after working at Horace Mann Middle School for the past decade.
DiStefano, O’Brien, and Collins join Urban Assistant Principal Michelle Bernhardt and Horace Mann Principal Lindsey Ohlfs in assuming new leadership roles within the district for the 2025-2026 school year.
More information on all five new principals can be found by visiting the SASD Facebook page.
