Applicants are now being accepted for a soon-to-be-open Outagamie County Judges’ seat.
Governor Tony Evers announced that the person assigned to the role will take over for Judge Mark McGinnis, who will resign in February 2026.
The new judge will complete a term that ends in July 2027.
Applications will be accepted until Monday, September 29th at 5:00 p.m.
They can be sent to GOVJudicialAppointments@wisconsin.gov.
They can also be found on the “Apply to Serve” page on Governor Evers’ website.
According to multiple news outlets, McGinnis’ retirement happened after a special prosecutor decided to not file criminal charges after an investigation started for a case that McGinnis presided over in 2021.
