A man is facing a felony charge after stealing over $600 worth of Pokémon cards.
Manitowoc Police were called to the Meijer store on South Rapids Road at 3:00 p.m. on August 22nd, after an asset protection employee reported the theft.
A 37-year-old suspect was seen on security camera footage entering the trading card aisle, where he grabbed multiple packs of the cards and put them in his cart.
He then took a large cooler with wheels and put the cards inside it.
The man and a female accomplice left the cooler and the cart in the gardening section and were then seen exiting the store through the gardening section.
They then came back to the cooler, and the man moved to the checkout.
An employee told the man they had to check inside the cooler while he was attempting to pay, but while that was happening, the man removed his card and never paid for the cooler.
A felony charge of Intentional Take has been filed against the man, although it is unclear if he has been located.
