
Local athletes fared well at the Two Rivers Cross Country Invitational.
The Notre Dame and Bay Port teams were first and second, respectively, while the Manitowoc Lincoln boys and girls both finished 3rd.
The other boys’ team results found Valders in 6th, Manitowoc Lutheran 8th out of 14 teams, and the host Raiders finishing 9th.
As for the girls, Valders was 5th, Manitowoc Lutheran finished 9th, and Two Rivers was 10th.
Individually, Two Rivers’ Allie Gallagher earned a third-place finish among the girls, while Manitowoc Lincoln’s Norah Free finished in 6th place.
Valders’ Paige Backus rounded out the top ten, while the Lancers’ top finisher was Adriel Barthel, who came in at #37.
The top female runner was Hannah Miller of Kewaunee, who finished 37 seconds faster than the next closest runner with a time of 19:20.
As for the Boys, Shipbuilder Reid Stryzewski continued his strong career with a 3rd place finish, while teammate Ash Kapitz came in 7th.
Owen Krueger of Valders was the #20 finisher, followed 3 seconds later by Max Ciha from Manitowoc Lutheran and five seconds after that by Two Rivers’ Dominick Springstube, who finished #23.
The top male runner was Dominic Natzke of West De Pere, who finished 1 second ahead of Eli Weiss with a time of 16:53.
