The Diocese of Green Bay is responding after a Catholic school shooting in Minnesota.
Bishop David Ricken says while many Catholic schools begin their academic year, “we are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the shootings at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis.”
Ricken asked people to offer their prayers for the victims, families, and all those who were killed or injured in a “senseless act of violence.”
The bishop continues saying that their hope remains steadfast as they mourn with all the People of God.
Ricken also told the teachers, staff, and students in schools across Wisconsin that he prays for a blessed, safe, and grace-filled school year.
He also asked for healing, peace, and protection for other school communities.
