A teacher within the Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) has earned national recognition.
The district has shared that Joe Leonhard, a Tech Ed teacher at Central High School, has been named Instructor of the Year by the National Center of Certification Centers (NC3).
Leonhard was given this honor for his work in the Tormach Program, but also served as Master Instructor for the Precision Measuring Instruments certification.
Both of these certifications have provided training for students intended to build the skills necessary to prepare them for today’s workforce.
NC3 Program Manager Cody Eckert applauded Leonhard’s work, saying, “In his acceptance speech, Joe passionately shared why he does what he does to serve the students at Central High School. His remarks were both inspiring and heartfelt, and they were a reminder of the impact a dedicated educator can have.”
Eckert also added that Leonhard’s commitment is something that he and everyone at NC3 are proud to highlight as an example for others to follow.
