The Fond du Lac Police Department has added another member to its ranks.
The Department has announced that K9 Vox has finished his five-week training program and has joined the FDLPD family. Vox is a 2-year-old German Shepard who was imported from Germany last year.
During his training at the Steinig Tal K-9 Police Academy, Vox earned certifications in tracking, handler protection, narcotics detection, article searches, and obedience.
Vox has joined forces with Officer and handler Jacob Roy, who hit the streets on Tuesday (August 26th) for their first patrol together.
K9 Vox joins fellow K9s Jesus, Gambo, Lex, and Brux as members of the Fond du Lac PD who aid officers in keeping citizens safe, taking drugs off the streets, and locating missing persons.
Photos from K9 Vox and Officer Roy’s first night on patrol can be found on the Fond du Lac Police Department’s Facebook page.
