A Milwaukee woman is facing child abuse charges after falsely accusing her stepfather of harming her infant.
Prosecutors say Shakira Walters is accused of abusing her younger brothers while their father was jailed on now-dismissed allegations.
Walters had claimed Jaimann Eiland threw her baby from a second-story balcony in March, but those charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence.
Walters now faces two felony counts, with court records stating she admitted to striking one boy with a belt and both with a whip-like object.
Her trial is scheduled for January.
