The votes have been tallied, and the new digital newsletter in Two Rivers has officially been named.
New City Manager Kyle Kordell tells SeehaferNews.com that the newly launched newsletter will be known as the Cool City Connect after the city let Two Rivers residents vote on the title.
Cool City Connect beat out the names of Two Minutes with Two Rivers, Cool City Current, Harbor Happenings, The Two Rivers Current, and the late addition, Wavelength.
City Manager Kordell also explained just what residents who sign up can expect to see in the newsletter.
He stated energetically, “The Cool City Connect will have timely updates on council actions, community happenings, and special events. We’re going to have public opinion polls on a variety of topics; people can chime in that way.”
The City is looking forward to having a more connected and informed public, and Kordell said that what makes this newsletter so important boils down to three things valued at City Hall.
“This is going to help with three things the City Council values and wants more of,” he explained. “Better communication to the residents, more valuable community engagement, and more transparency about how and why decisions are being made at City Hall.”
Those interested in signing up to receive the newsletter are encouraged to do so by visiting the Two Rivers City Hall Facebook page.
Anyone signing up will be asked to provide their first name and an email address to which the Cool City Connect will be sent.
