The Two Rivers Public School District has announced that they are participating in a Free Breakfast and Lunch Program this upcoming school year.
The program is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), offered by the USDA.
CEP is designed for schools and school districts in low-income areas, allowing participating schools to be reimbursed using a formula based on the percentage of students categorically eligible for free meals based on their participation in other specific means-tested programs.
All students enrolled at Koenig and Magee Elementary Schools, L.B. Clarke Middle School, and Two Rivers High School will be served two free meals.
Household applications are not required; however, applications may be distributed by the schools to collect income data for other programs.
Questions can be directed to Stacy Warzka, the District Nutrition Director, by either calling 920-793-7172 or emailing Stacy.Watzka@TRSchools.k12,wi.us.
