Motorists in Sheboygan County should expect detours and closures this week.
The Sheboygan Department of Transportation has shared that ongoing projects, as well as temporary work, will affect traffic patterns.
This includes the portion of State Highway 23 between Julie Court and County Road A, which will be closed daily through Thursday (August 28th).
This closure will be in place each day from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., allowing crews to perform ditch work adjacent to the westbound lane.
Meanwhile, the ongoing construction projects on State Highways 28 and 32 continue to progress and are nearing completion.
In Cascade, Highway 28 remains closed for the bridge replacement project, which is expected to be finished by the end of September.
On Highway 32, a new detour was implemented on Friday (August 22nd), redirecting drivers onto Interstate 43 and Highway 28 as 32 is now closed between Cedar Grove and Sheboygan Falls.
This change has allowed crews to begin work on the final culvert south of County Road N, the last step of an extensive culvert replacement project on 32.
The construction on 32 is expected to be completed by the end of October.
