A man was arrested at the Manitowoc County Fair over the weekend.
A Manitowoc Police Officer was on duty at the fair at 7:45 Friday evening (August 22nd), when an off-duty officer reported seeing a man known to have an active warrant for his arrest on the fairgrounds.
The officer located the 24-year-old man standing near a food stand just south of the Merchants Building.
When the man saw the officer, he ducked his head and walked through the bathroom of the Merchant’s Building, just to find another officer standing there.
He refused to identify himself, but the officers knew him through prior contacts.
He was placed into handcuffs, and while being escorted out through the Ice Center gates, he reportedly began yelling.
The man allegedly continued to resist while being placed into a squad car, including refusing to put his feet inside the vehicle and unbuckling himself.
A crowd gathered around the squad car as he was placed into a device known as the Wrap, as he continued to act out.
He was cleared at a local hospital before being taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Resisting, Obstructing, and three counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
