
The results are in for the 2025 Manitowoc County Fair Animal Market Sale.
Sawyer Gill had a great day, with his 11-pound goat being named the Champion Market Goat, and his 107-pounder being named Reserve Champion.
They were each purchased by Jim’s Golf Carts for $20 per pound.
Sawyer also had the Top Blue Turkey, which was sold for $535, and Champion Poultry, which sold for $250.
His brother Wesley had the Top Blue Goose, which went for $700, and the Reserve Poultry.
The Champion in the Market Beef category was raised by Liberty Wetenkamp, weighed in at 1,395 pounds, and was bought for $6 per pound.
The family affair continued, as Vincent Wetenkamp’s 1,432-pound cow was named the reserve champion and was sold for $5.50 per pound.
The Champion Rabbit was raised by Maximus Ruether, his sister Abigail raised the Top Blue Fryer Rabbit Rose Petruska earned Second Blue Turkey, and Laken Brandt’s rabbit won Reserve Rabbit.
