The Sheboygan County branch of Habitat for Humanity is ready to revitalize a neighborhood for the 10th time.
Habitat for Humanity Lakeside’s 10th Annual Rock the Block will run September 25th through the 27th in Plymouth.
Rock the Block brings together volunteers, homeowners, and community partners to tackle critical home repairs and neighborhood beautification projects in a specific area.
The Plymouth neighborhood to be served is bordered by Orchard Lane to the north, Elizabeth Street to the south, North Milwaukee Street to the west, and North Street to the east.
Projects range from yard maintenance and exterior painting to accessibility modifications such as ramps, stairs, and railings. Repairs are completed by trained professionals and volunteers, and fees for repairs are based on the homeowner’s income.
No-interest loans are also available to qualified homeowners for larger projects, such as ramps or porch replacements.
Rock the Block sponsorships are available at three levels: Community Sponsor ($2,500), Neighborhood Sponsor ($1,000), and Block Sponsor ($500).
