The Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers for an upcoming tree planting project.
The department will be planting twenty trees at Washington Park on October 18th from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
The department states that the trees will help purify the air, provide shade, and create habitats for wildlife for decades to come.
Shovels, gloves, water, and snacks will also be provided for volunteers.
Funding for the tree planting project is provided through a grant from Faith in Place, made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act.
You can find a link to sign up to volunteer on the 18th on the Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
