
Women in law enforcement were the focus of a recent conference in Appleton.
The inaugural Women in Law Enforcement Conference was held last week in a collaboration between the Appleton and Green Bay Police Departments.
At the conference, the power of connection, inspiration, and leadership in both departments and abroad was on display.
Guest speakers at the event included Commander Shannon Seymer-Tabaska of Green Bay Police Department, Appleton Chief of Police Polly Olson, Green Bay Schools Superintendent Vicki Bayer, and Brown County Medical Examiner Dr. Elizabeth Douglas, among many other prominent women in both communities.
The Green Bay Police Department has said that the conversations had at the conference sparked reflection, growth, and motivation through discussions of leadership challenges and life lessons that come along as a woman working in the field of law enforcement.
