Emily Frietag, the Director of New Media at Seehafer Broadcasting, says that not only do you get to see all of the local news stories you hear on the air or see on SeehaferNews.com, “It also offers push notifications on your phone so you can receive alerts on top news stories.”
You can even customize which types of notifications you want to receive.
You can choose to receive updates on Manitowoc or Sheboygan County stories, sports, road closures, cancellations and delays, breaking news, and more.
Freitag says customization is very simple.
“You go into the menu along the bottom of the app, select more, and then you would go to settings,” she explained. “The top settings option is notifications. And once you click on that, you can scroll down and see all of our different push notification groups.”
Not only can you get all of your local news at your fingertips, but Freitag also announced that there will be app-only giveaways.
“We are starting a new Flash Seehafer News App Giveaway,” she revealed. “That will be randomly once a month, and you just have to enter on the app so you could win some pretty good prizes, but you have to have the app to do it.”
