Madison police arrested three people early Monday morning following a disturbance downtown.
Officers responded to East Main Street around 1:30 a.m., where a group was seen leaving a bar, and two people were shouting.
One man allegedly threatened police, and a woman struck an officer with her purse during his attempted arrest.
A third man believed to have sparked the confrontation was also taken into custody.
