City officials in Madison are preparing for the annual August Moving Days.
Annually, this is a hectic period surrounding August 15 when many renters, particularly University of Wisconsin-Madison students, relocate.
The transition generates nearly one million pounds of trash each year.
City leaders are encouraging residents and students to begin packing early to help ease the process and reduce waste.
